Categories

In the admin under Products -> Categories you can create new categories in your store and see all the current categories. The information available for each category includes:

• Pos.-this is the ordinal position of the category
• Category Name
• Products-the number of products in the category
• Subcategories-shows the number of subcategories within the category
• Enabled-a check box shows if the category is enabled

To create a new category, click on 'Create New Category' and a modal window will appear. You will be prompted to fill in the new category name, URL, the parent category, and click the box to make the category active. Finally, click 'Create New Category' and your new category will be added to your list of categories.
